Designed in the late 1920s by the architect of the Jefferson Memorial and National Gallery of Art, the Woodend Mansion sits on a 40-acre nature sanctuary and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The estate is currently under the direction of the Audubon Society.

The property is about a 30 minute drive from downtown Washington or a quick 10 minute drive from our suggested accommodations. The Woodend Mansion is not accessible by Metro or public transportation, though there is plenty of parking available. We will also be providing roundtrip transportation from the hotels for our out-of-town guests (see more here).
